Madonna col Bambino in trono, i Santi Agostino, Francesco, Procolo, Monica, Giovanni Battista, Sebastiano, il donatore Felicini e un Angelo musicante.(Pala Felicini)
Descrizione opera
The painting formed the central part of the work also known as the Jewel Altarpiece, because of the precious pendant that appears at the top. It was painted for Bartolomeo Felicini around 1490 and was later retouched possibly because it was damaged during restoration work on the church of the Misericordia. The compacted appearance of the composition is justified by the later addition of some saints, such as Monica and Proculus. The oldest group is the Madonna and Child with the musician angel.
