Once a month there are in-depth talks in English on the Pinacoteca’s masterpieces: the initiative, called MEETING ART, does not require booking. All activities are included in the cost of the museum entrance ticket (except for those free of charge by law).

In April we’ ll discover the figure ofthe angel,the celestial messenger, through the medieval paintings in the museum’s collection. Angels are represented in heaven divided into nine categories, such as seraphims and cherubs, portrayed close to God the Father in eternal adoration. The warrior archangel Michael fights the dragon, symbol of evil, while Gabriel announces the birth of Jesus to Mary. Angels sing and play musical instruments as mediators between divine harmony and creation.
This meeting, lasting approximately 45 minutes, doesn’t require reservation and it is included in the cost of the ticket.
