Annunciazione Visitazione della Vergine a Santa Elisabetta
Set in a domestic environment, the unknown artist depicts the scene of the annunciation to Mary, surprised by the angel who interrupts her reading. The young woman is given the news of the pregnancy of her cousin Elizabeth, who was always thought to be barren, and moved by the divine message, she goes to visit her. Probably part of the same complex, the two panels draw considerable inspiration from the art of Rogier van der Weyden, a famous Flemish painter.
